Real411 is an independent public complaints platform where the public can report, misinformation, hate speech, incitement to violence and attacks on journalists online. It is set up run and managed by Media Monitoring Africa. Real411 is run in partnership with key stakeholders including, the South African National Editors Forum (SANEF) the Press Council and the IABSA. It is also endorsed by the South African government as the mechanism to help combat disinformation about current events.
