This update is all about making the Meme Creator feel more polished and intuitive. Whether you're placing a classic "TOP TEXT / BOTTOM TEXT" or building something more creative, these improvements give you better control over where your text lands and how it looks on the canvas.

Selection Handles
When you tap a piece of text on the canvas, you'll now see a clean selection indicator — a dashed border with eight handles at the corners and mid-edges. This makes it immediately clear which text layer is active and gives the editor a more professional feel. No more guessing whether you've tapped the right layer.

Grid Overlay
Need to line things up? The new Grid button in the toolbar lets you overlay a grid on your canvas. Choose from four sizes — 3×3, 4×4, 6×6, or 9×9 — depending on how precise you want to be. Every grid is built from the center outward, so there's always a line running straight through the middle of the image both horizontally and vertically. This makes it easy to center text or split the image into balanced sections. The grid is only visible while you're editing and won't appear in your saved meme.

Snap to Grid
Once you have a grid active, tap the magnet button to enable Snap to Grid. As you drag text around the canvas, it will automatically snap to the nearest grid intersection, making precise placement effortless. No more nudging text pixel by pixel trying to get it centered — just drag and it locks right into place. Snap can be toggled on and off at any time without changing your grid size.

Smarter Toolbar
The editor toolbar now properly disables buttons that aren't relevant yet. When you first open the Meme Creator, the Add Text, Delete, Grid, and Snap buttons are all dimmed until you've chosen a photo. This prevents accidentally adding text layers to an empty canvas and makes the workflow clearer — pick your photo first, then start creating. The Delete button additionally stays disabled until you've selected a text layer, and the Snap button stays disabled until a grid is active.

Cleaner Editor Panel
The text editor panel has been tidied up. Controls that weren't having a visible effect have been removed, so what you see is what actually works. The panel now focuses on the things that matter most — your text content, font choice, size, and colors — without unnecessary clutter getting in the way.

Under the Hood
Dragging text on the canvas continues to use the fixed, accurate tracking introduced in the previous release, where position is calculated from the drag start point rather than accumulating per-event deltas. Combined with the new snap feature, text placement is now more reliable and predictable than ever.
