Palestine Broadcasting Corporation (PBC), is a National Public media institution, considered as an essential and vital establishment in Palestinian society, serving the national goal , in realizing Palestinian People basic rights of freedom and Independent state in Palestine .
PBC has been established by Presidential decree no. 4566, signed by the former President H.E Yasser Arafat on 6th July 1993.
Emphasizing the PBC role in : realizing stability ,and just and comprehensive Peace ,and the national rights of Palestinian people also , to highlight the Palestinian unified national identity, to support Palestinian freedom and independence , and the Palestinian significance in region and all over the world.
As a media institution , PBC highly considers the values of democracy, accepting the other , diversity, and the depth of Palestinian legacy and civilization.
"الهيئة العامة للإذاعة والتلفزيون الفلسطينية" مؤسسة إعلامية وطنية عامة، تشكل جزءً أساسيًا وهامًا في البنية الوطنية العامة للمجتمع الفلسطيني، على طريق تلبية حقوقه الأساسية في التحرر والاستقلال وقيام دولته المستقلة على أرض الوطن.
أنشئت الهيئة فلسطينيًا بقرار يحمل رقم(4566) الصادر بتاريخ 6/7/1993 عن سيادة الرئيس الراحل ياسر عرفات مؤكداً بذلك على أهمية قيام الهيئة، لتلعب دورها الإعلامي الهام في بناء الاستقرار والسلام العادل والشامل، وتلبية الحقوق الوطنية للشعب الفلسطيني، وإبراز الهوية الوطنية الموحدة للشعب الفلسطيني، وتعزيز حريته واستقلاله، وتبوئه مكانته المادية والروحية في المنطقة، وعلى الكرة الأرضية بشكل عام.
وتعتمد الهيئة في تنفيذ خدماتها العامة على الديمقراطية، والانفتاح الفكري، والتعددية، وعمق تراث وحضارة الشعب الفلسطيني الأصيلة.
