AI Gold now introduces a fully interactive Reference tab that allows users to enter a custom gold spot price and see all values update instantly in real time.
Users can type any price per troy ounce using a validated numeric input field that displays a dollar sign and “per oz” label. When a custom price is active, the app clearly indicates it. A blue Reset button allows users to instantly return to the default price saved in Settings.
The Value Table section now updates live for all major karat types, including 24K, 22K, 18K, 14K, 10K, and 9K gold. Each row shows the current value per ounce based on the selected spot price, and the table header always displays which price is being used.
AI Gold also includes quick calculation examples directly below the table. These examples show the value of 10 grams of 24K gold, 20 grams of 18K gold, and 1 ounce of 14K gold. Each example displays pure gold content and final value, and all results update instantly when the spot price changes.
The Formulas section has been enhanced to use live pricing as well. All melt value and final price examples automatically recalculate using the current spot price entered in the Value Table. Users can view updated examples for karat purity, gram-to-ounce conversion, pure gold content, melt value, final price with premium, and a complete step-by-step calculation.
This update makes it easy to explore how market prices affect different gold types, compare values instantly, and understand the relationship between karat, purity, weight, and spot price. It is especially useful for buyers comparing options, sellers demonstrating value to customers, and anyone learning how gold pricing works.
Custom spot prices are used only within the Reference tab. They do not affect the Calculator tab, are not saved to Settings, and reset when the app is closed. All calculations are performed locally on the device, and no data is collected or shared.
The feature works on iPhone and iPad, supports light and dark mode, adapts to all screen sizes and orientations, and is compatible with iOS 16 and later.
With this update, AI Gold provides a faster, clearer, and more interactive way to explore gold pricing with professional accuracy and ease.
