Amal and Hatem lived their lives as beacons of generosity and compassion. They dedicated themselves to uplifting others—helping families relocate for better opportunities, supporting educational pursuits, and providing assistance for medical needs. Their unwavering commitment to humanity continued until their final day.
Their home was a sanctuary where hospitality reigned supreme. No visitor ever left without experiencing their warmth and generosity. Their table was always set for one more guest, their door perpetually open to anyone in need. The profound impact of their character continues to resonate with everyone fortunate enough to have known them.
Tragically, on the evening of July 19, 2022, while returning to their Oxford home from London after visiting loved ones, they were involved in a fatal accident. Both passed instantly, leaving behind a community in mourning but also a powerful legacy of kindness.
At their memorial service, we met countless individuals whose lives had been transformed through Amal and Hatem's quiet generosity—including a professional whose entire education had been funded through their support. It was then we realized the importance of continuing their mission of compassion and human connection.
