South Africa’s car sales industry has been revolutionised by an app that enables car dealers to instantly validate both a vehicle and a customer within seconds.
LIVE provides the ability to eliminate finger trouble by using the camera on a Smartphone to scan a vehicle’s licence disc. Using state-of-the-art patented technology LIVE links directly into Lightstone's in-house and third party databases to deliver real time and accurate verification data for any vehicle offering the full details and verifying the VIN, make and model. LIVE offers further information like current market value, transaction values of similar sales, warranty start date, financing house, accident history, and police status. In addition, the app has the capability to take numerous photos of the vehicle, stamping all records with GPS coordinates, date and time.
To find out important information about a potential customer, LIVE scans and decrypts the 3D barcode on a driver's licence card. This confirms the validity of the licence, significantly reducing the risk of fraud and providing a mechanism for easily and accurately capturing driver details for contact information, test drives and finance applications.
A feature called EzScore performs a basic affordability test on a potential customer, without performing a credit enquiry. EzScore provides an indication of risk and financial affluence. Through the custom built consent module a potential customer can sign consent on the mobile phone, and a dealer can determine the likelihood of a successful transaction. The financial affluence segment indicates the level of financial and lifestyle affluence and the risk rating segment estimates the customer’s likelihood to qualify for finance.
A newly added feature now allows dealerships on a group account to assign specific roles to all users within the account. Users can have a scan only function - saving the dealership money - or a scan and verify function.
LIVE is specific to South African vehicle licensing requirements and is free to download but a pay per report subscription policy applies thereafter.
