PAK pass-by

The PAK pass-by application makes acquiring the exterior noise of vehicles easy and efficient. The app consists of standalone working components namely: the track system, the driver system(s), the control system and the weather station.
The PAK pass-by app is designed for both track and driver system. Users can configure the system interactively and drivers are assisted during the measurement. All information is displayed on an iPad by 6 overview tabs as follows:
System set-up:
Provides an overview of all measurement quantities and settings for both the driver and track system.
Hardware:
Allows for channel settings to be modified of all sensors used.
Driver and Idlenoise:
Shows all relevant information while driving a run or idle noise measurement regarding the vehicle’s speed, rpm and status information from analog or digital instruments.
Result:
Shows information about the result of the whole measurement session, including the latest run and a fingerprint of all runs, error messages and selected user data.
Track:
Checks the track system’s signals and displays the current measurement signals.

* Determines the GPS position of each PAK MKII frontend including the quality of the GPS connection

Benefit:
By having complete access to the standalone PAK MKII frontend, users are able to configure the measurement settings for each task. The monitoring of signals and signal settings from all sensors on-site ensures continuous precise measurement results.
Drivers also enjoy the convenience of viewing the exact speed and rpm of each test run on a real-time display in the vehicle.
Battery consumption:
Running WLAN in the background of any device can decrease battery life. The app has been designed to use WLAN sparingly.
Prerequisites:
The PAK pass-by can only be used in conjunction with PAK MKII G2 frontends
