Dynaplan Smia represents a new modelling paradigm. It combines features of spreadsheets, presentation software, and simulation into an integrated modelling environment.

Smia is a Norwegian noun, pronounced 'smeeah'. It means forge or smithy, i.e., the workshop where the smith creates all kinds of things out of metal. You can also interpret smia as an acronym for structured - modelling - interactive - analysis.

Smia is easy to use, and at the same time it is a powerful tool, including object-oriented features, dynamic simulation, risk and uncertainty (Monte Carlo) analysis, optimisation, and sensitivity analysis.

The version of the Smia App is the 2.0 desktop compatible release. It introduces, among other features, private hosting for shared models and agent-based motion functions for SWP, as well as improvements to encryption, compilation time, data import, and more.
