The TAP application is the immersive mobile experience for individuals participating in McKinsey Private research & data collection. This is a productivity tool used in conjunction with a survey, diary study, market research or data collection campaign including rich media files. TAP also provides our “off-line” capabilities truly enabling our teams to move anywhere.
TAP integrates to a collection engine provided by ConfirmIT offering SODA. SODA creates and deploys the content that runs natively within the TAP application. TAP provides to vehicles for providing content to uses an installed TAP App:
¬Unmanaged user - Users are provided a campaign\individualized pin code. When this pin code is entered to the app, a a “sync” function will pull the associated collection from the server
¬Managed User – Users can be provided a “login” that allows them to register their device with our systems. Campaign managers can associate different campaigns to the users account, and the system will “push” updates and new content that is assigned.
Data will sync opportunistically to the server if/when bandwidth is present. If the device is “off-line” data is stored in a PTY encrypted format. Upon upload to the server, the data is removed from the device.
