Infinite Kanji
iPhone / Education
Recently, as I’ve been using keyboards and tablets more often, I’ve noticed that I hardly write by hand anymore. I’ve even found myself struggling to recall certain kanji. Of course, thanks to hiragana and katakana, you can get by without writing kanji at all—but still, it feels like such a waste. There are so many kanji in existence, yet we only use a small portion of them in daily life. There are countless characters I don’t even know.
For anyone who feels the same way, this app offers an experience where you simply write kanji—nothing more. Kanji are displayed at random, and you just continue writing them. You can’t look up meanings or practice stroke order; it focuses entirely on the pure act of writing. You may even encounter kanji you’ve never seen before, leading to new discoveries.
You can write kanji using Apple Pencil (or even just your finger).
/ You can switch between writing with Apple Pencil or your finger.
/ PencilKit allows you to change writing tools.
You can rotate characters, move their position, and adjust stroke thickness.
