Parents’ Guide
Count with Saba is the first app of iO School’s complete Kindergarten curriculum. It covers the first 5 weeks of kindergarten. Parents are advised to strictly follow the format of the app. Each island represents a week of the lessons that are taught in a kindergarten Math class. The NPCs (non-playable characters) guide Saba in all of the activities in the game. The first NPC teaches concepts and provides guided practice, the second one gives your child independent practices, and the last one gives an assessment for that island. You can view the results of the assessment in the menu button on the upper left corner of the screen (Note: Deleting the app from the device will reset the assessment data). Each island should only be played per week. The design of the lessons is patterned from the weekly lessons of your child in the classroom. It is very important for him/her to learn the concepts from the classroom or with his or her parents before playing Count with Saba to avoid frustration. Keep in mind that most students are starting with zero Math concepts in the kinder level. The app is meant to work hand in hand with teachers and parents to strengthen the student's Math skills. To ensure that your child will not have access to the next island, we have built weekly passwords that adults will need to enter before a child can play a particular island. See passwords below (case sensitive):
