Practice screen
For those who are new to CPR, and for others who want to refresh their CPR motor skills, the Practice feature allows students to develop and to master CPR techniques with support from visual and auditory real-time feedback from this iPad application.
Large, simple graphics and auditory prompts guide students to perform “on target” compression rates, depths, and release points, as well as ventilation volumes and hands off times. During rest periods, a summary of the student’s performance is displayed automatically.
Evaluation screen
Instructors use the Evaluation feature during test sessions to monitor and to assess a student’s CPR techniques and knowledge of correct CPR actions.
Real time graphing shows the quality of compressions and ventilations the student is delivering. Skills Check is used to record the student’s actions during the evaluation session, e.g., checking the responsiveness of victim, activating the ERS and using the AED correctly during CPR. Sessions can be saved and later reviewed with the student.
The wireless connection between manikin and iPad allows the instructor to conduct sessions from a distance.
Debriefing screen
Instructors use organized information from the Debriefing feature to provide detailed, one-on-one feedback to the student.
Detailed results of the saved CPR session are grouped by each ventilation/compression cycle that the student performed during the evaluation.
A Debriefing report in pdf form can be generated for emailing or printing.
Debriefing reports are permanently saved with the Trainee Management feature.
Hardware Requirements
Currently, the CPR SkillsCoach is compatible with Lifeform brand manikins that have built in CPR sensors. and the required interface box, CPR Metrix.
