Supported and used by the NHS and delivered by a not-for-profit, so you can get the best education possible.

The Deapp app guides you through a carefully curated curriculum of topics about type 1, meaning that you are not bombarded by unnecessary information by starting with the basics and working through to more detailed videos.

Let Olly the Octopus guide you through things like Carb Counting and Hypos in easy-to-watch animations. Even if you are a child, young adult, parent, healthcare professional or someone interested in learning about type 1 diabetes, this app is suitable for anyone to pick up and digest.

Deapp was designed from the ground up specifically to make complicated diabetes education easy to understand, especially at a time when someone might have just been diagnosed.

Guest Users - Guests users are currently limited to Session 1

The Deapp app is a hub of generic information that is based on NHS and international guidelines used to help inform you about type 1 diabetes. It is not a tool for diagnosis and is not used for patient-specific medication regulation, individual needs will always be discussed with a trained medical professional. Speak to your NHS diabetes team for personalised care.

Anonymous data - All users of Deapp are given a Deapp ID which means that your data can’t be tracked back to you from within the app. Your anonymous Deapp ID helps us see how far users have progressed through the educational videos, so we can see the positive impact only through anonymous code. All data is stored on a secure database that is approved by NHS Digital.
