Make Another Number Sentence

This app was designed at the request of elementary teacher candidates to facilitate the interaction between their students and the candidates while students illustrated two different number sentences with the same target sum using combinations of 2 or 3 addends.

Determine a target sum and then drag chips in various combinations into the work area to represent that number. The blue work area is divided so that one representation is on the top half and the other is on the bottom. The columns are used to place chips for each addend.

The "Color" button will display a new set of chips all with the SAME COLOR, but with DIFFERENT SHAPES.

The "Shape" button will display a new set of chips all with the SAME SHAPE, but with DIFFERENT COLORS.
