Neurogastroenterology & Motility is the official Journal of the European Society of Neurogastroenterology & Motility (ESNM) and the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society (ANMS). It provides a forum where current issues and advances relating to the motor function of the GI tract can be presented and discussed, and is of interest to both clinicians and researchers.
Neurogastroenterology & Motility publishes original research and topical reviews on:
-basic and clinical aspects of gastrointestinal motility and its control by myogenic, neural and chemical mechanisms
-basic and clinical aspects of brain-gut interactions
-how the central, autonomic and/or enteric nervous systems interact in the control of gastrointestinal motility or other gastrointestinal functions including absorption, secretion, vasomotor function and immunology.
In addition, clinical trials papers, focused editorial viewpoints, abstracts of symposia, meeting reports and notices of ANMS and ESNM business and matters of interest to members are published.
ANMS and ESNM work to expand interest in neurogastroenterology and motility.
