Rockerbox News is an award-winning non-fiction reading platform for young people. New articles are published on Rockerbox News daily and every article is available at 5 different reading levels.
Rockerbox News articles are guaranteed to be timely, positive, age appropriate, and national curriculum-aligned. Every article is followed by related multiple choice and open-ended questions that check understanding and encourage discussions.
On Rockerbox News, young people will be reading about positive current affairs and special days, consolidating their knowledge across national curriculum subjects, and learning about places and people around the world.
Rockerbox News is inclusive by design. Each young person has their own personalised account and their teacher will set the correct reading level. They can also enable or disable different subjects and accessibility features such as the option to read the text aloud.
The lowest reading level in Rockerbox News is designed for young people reading at a Year 1/Primary 2 level. The highest level aligns with the key vocabulary, grammar, and learning outcomes in Year 6/Primary 7.
