This tool shows the conversion of floating-point numbers, or decimal numbers, to the corresponding bit word and vice-versa. It has been conceived starting by considering the IEEE 754 standard of 1985 and has been implemented a short version of floating-point number representation, called sfloat24. It is very useful to understand as any calculator stores a decimal number in its registers.
