The SmartUni app is an innovative, interactive guide for all present foreign students and all those who wish to become the students of University of Lodz. The app will let you adapt to your new exciting surroundings in a heartbeat. You will always be up to date with University events and student activities outside the campus. In SmartUni you can check your schedule, you will be able to check university news and thanks to microlocalisation technology based on beacons you will easily find your way around the campus.
Main features:
-a catalogue of basic information about student exchange programme, the educational programme and all the necessary documents
-quick access to most important news: all the news from all university webpages and social profiles are finally availiable in one place
-an up-to-date calendar of events
-student zone: information about studying at the University of Lodz, description of all campus venues (supported by microlocalisation running under the beacons technology), class schedules, contacts to coordinators and lecturers
-getting around: all the info you will need about living in the city, public transportation, restaurants, bars, drugstores, shopping places and more. In this section you will find info about places worth visiting in Poland as well as in Lodz. The functionality is supported by the microlocalisation feature running on beacon.
The SmartUni proves that a Polish University can offer much more than just great education, it can also, among others, create a friendly atmosphere for foreign students. Thanks to the mobile app the language barriers are no longer an issue and adaptation becomes easy… even Polish winter is no longer scary.
