What's New in This Version
This update brings one of the most requested features to Budgetly Premium — an AI Financial Coach — along with a number of stability improvements, performance fixes, and new account management options.
AI Financial Coach (Premium)
The headline feature of this release is your very own AI-powered financial coach, available exclusively to Budgetly Premium subscribers. Unlike generic financial advice you'd find anywhere on the internet, Budgetly's AI coach actually understands your finances — your real income, your real spending categories, your savings goals, and your debt balances.
Ask it anything:
— "Am I spending too much on dining out?"
— "How can I pay off my credit card faster?"
— "What's the fastest way to reach my vacation savings goal?"
— "How does my spending this month compare to last month?"
The AI coach reads your actual financial data and responds with personalized, actionable guidance tailored specifically to your situation. Think of it as having a knowledgeable financial advisor available around the clock — one who already knows your numbers and is ready to help you make smarter decisions with your money.
This feature is available immediately to all active Premium subscribers. If you're on the free plan, upgrade to Premium to unlock it alongside Monthly Reports, the FIRE Calculator, and CSV Export.
Stability & Performance Improvements
We've made significant improvements to the reliability of the app's connection to its backend, particularly for users who haven't opened the app in a while. Previous versions could occasionally display an error on login after a period of inactivity — this has been fully resolved. The app now reconnects faster and more reliably every time you open it.
Account & Privacy Management
We've added dedicated pages for account and data management, making it easier than ever to understand and control your data:
— Privacy Policy — A clear, plain-language explanation of what data Budgetly collects, how it's used, and how it's protected. Access it anytime from your Profile page or at budget-wise--balajidamodaran.replit.app/privacy
— Data Deletion — Want to wipe your transactions, budgets, goals, and reminders while keeping your account? You now have a dedicated page explaining exactly how to do it, with step-by-step instructions for both in-app and email-based requests.
— Account Deletion — Need to fully close your account? The new Account Deletion page walks you through the process clearly, including an important reminder to cancel your App Store subscription separately before deleting your account to avoid unintended future charges.
These pages are publicly accessible — no login required — making it easy for anyone to understand their rights and options before they even sign up.
Bug Fixes
— Fixed an issue where tapping "Request Data Deletion" or "Request Account Deletion" on the Profile page would show an error screen instead of opening the correct page
— Improved error handling throughout the app so unexpected server responses display a clear message rather than a technical error
— Minor improvements to subscription status syncing for Premium users
