For decades, investors had no choice but to invest through traditional channels. The only way to invest was to pay fees to a handful of financial institutions, to invest in specified minimum amounts or monthly by debit order, very often not into any specific named assets.
Investing was costly, hard to understand and subject to terms that individuals had no choice but to accept.
An accountant, an engineer, a miner and a builder looked at the status quo and decided that there had to be a new, better way to get individuals access to investing. So drawing on their collective knowledge and passion, Stack was created.
From the very beginning, the idea was to change the status quo: to provide individual investors direct access to named assets – in the portions so that they could invest the amounts they wanted, in what they wanted, when they wanted.
There would be no expensive minimum lump sums or recurring debit order contracts involved.
The idea was to make investing truly democratic: available to all, in a fair, transparent, peer-to-peer marketplace.
It was finally time for ordinary people from all walks of life to have direct access to real investment opportunities in physical assets – when and how they wanted.
Stack is a peer-to-peer investment marketplace, a platform created to remove barriers and obstacles to direct investing. It makes investment easy, affordable and accessible to all people – no matter who they are.
