Brave SEPT Pathway Plan App

The Brave Pathway Plan App has been created to support expecting and parenting teens across Australia with their pregnancy and parenting journeys. Closely aligned to the ‘First 1000 Days’ principle the app recognises the vitally important window of time from conception to the child’s second birthday in shaping healthier and more prosperous futures for the child, parents, and greater community. The app can be used as part of participation in the Brave Foundation’s ‘Supporting Expecting and Parenting Teens’ (SEPT) Program, or as a stand-alone resource for those not currently engaged in the program.

The Brave Pathway Plan app has been carefully designed with simple, easy to use, intuitive and aesthetic features, allowing users to:

View their personalised Pathway Plans and track their progress towards their goals (SEPT participants only);

Communicate with their SEPT Mentors via an in-app messaging system (SEPT participants only);

Access articles and other instructional information relevant to their current stage of pregnancy or parenting (i.e. pregnancy timelines, information on childbirth, infant care instructions, and other information designed to assist in increasing wellbeing such as nutrition tips, financial budget ideas, etc);

Keep record of their journey through pregnancy and parenthood via notes and pictures upload into the in-app journaling system;

Keep track of their mental-wellbeing via the ‘how I’m feeling today’ check-in function;

Personalise their account with an avatar picture and other customisable settings.
