Why use another tracking app? Path Trex does not collect nor share any of your data. You do not have to create an account, you do not have to enter your email, nor enter any information that is linked to you. Location data that is captured during a Trex remains on your device only.
It is easy to start using this app, all you have to do is hit the start button then start walking, running, biking, hiking, or off roading with your vehicle. When you are done hit stop, it records your path (on your iPhone only) as you go. You can view this data while still recording or when you done.
Path Trex will allow you to enter waypoints on a map then provide the terrain profile of the path you created. Coordinates of the waypoints or your location can be displayed in decimal latitude/longitude, degrees/minutes/seconds latitude longitude, Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM), or Military Grid Reference System (MGRS).
Plotting the terrain profile will allow you to plan on the difficulty of the Path you’ve entered.
Path Trex will also follow and record your location (only on your iPhone). As you move your location will be plotted on the map along with plotting your elevation. While Path Trex is following your location your pace or speed, distance traveled, and location (vertical and horizontal) accuracy will be shown.
