MediCare is a mobile application which is a digital health friend for the public. This application was implemented in order to reduce the number of steps needed to be taken when wanting to view a lab report online. MediCare provides ease for the patients in many ways which will be listed as core functionalities below.
MediCare Core Functionalities Include;
• Minimal Patient Intervention - patients are able to accurately track health record history. Efficient and time saving procedure.
• Enhanced Report Sharing - sharing lab reports with the associated doctor(s).
• Efficient Doctor Accessibility - view and respond according to the instructions given by associated doctors.
• Lab report extraction through reference number includes three options - options include typing reference number, reference number scanning from bill and through automatic SMS reading with the user permission at the application startup.
• Interactive Dashboards - visualize clinical diagnosis reports in graphical forms.
• Home Health Monitoring - patients can keep track of the measurements of health parameters such as weight, blood pressure etc.
• Regular Checkup Schedule - patients can set up schedules for home monitoring and will be notified considering the schedule.
• Digital Prescriptions - with digital prescriptions doctors and patients are able to seamlessly integrate the information flow between patients, pharmacies and the hospitals.
