OrthoGaitViewer is the native Apple Vision Pro companion app for OrthoGaitApp.
It connects to a paired iPhone or iPad running OrthoGaitApp on the same local network and mirrors the incoming posture and metric stream for spatial review in Apple Vision Pro. In the paired workflow, the mobile device remains the capture source while the viewer presents received joints, metrics, status flags, and shared-marker state in an immersive environment.
A major strength of OrthoGaitViewer is that it transforms a standard mobile capture session into a room-aware review experience. Users can open the viewer, connect and reconnect to the paired device, monitor session state, review live measurement panels, and open an immersive skeleton view once connection and alignment are ready. This makes movement review more visual, more intuitive, and easier to understand than viewing values alone on a flat screen.
The paired workflow can mirror a broad movement review library, including core gait outputs and additive supplemental outputs when available. Across the project’s measurement structure, the system supports up to 91 numbered outputs, covering domains such as pelvis, gait, hip, knee, ankle, generated outputs, and spine-and-gravity supplements. This allows the viewer to present far more than a simple skeleton image, helping users inspect motion patterns, symmetry, timing, posture behavior, and session trends in a more immersive and interpretable way.
Rather than only displaying a 3D figure, OrthoGaitViewer is built to support meaningful review of movement structure. Users can observe how body segments relate to one another in space, follow changes during a live session, and better understand motion organization through synchronized skeleton, panels, and status indicators. This can be especially useful for biomechanics-oriented review, educational demonstration, training environments, wellness-focused movement observation, and research workflows where spatial understanding matters.
Key viewer capabilities include:
* native Apple Vision Pro companion experience
* live mirrored review of sessions captured in OrthoGaitApp
* immersive skeleton visualization
* paired metric review panels
* optional shared-marker room alignment
* local export of the recent viewer window after explicit user action
* in-app help covering workflow, privacy, export, connection, and measurement explanations
Shared-marker alignment can be used when the same printed marker is recognized on both devices. In that workflow, the capture device broadcasts marker pose state and the viewer reconstructs the shared transform so immersive content can be aligned to the room for world-anchored review. This can improve spatial consistency between the paired devices and help the viewer place the incoming experience in a stable, understandable way.
OrthoGaitViewer is also designed to make paired review practical. It supports a workflow in which users can connect, observe live mirrored content, review incoming measurements, and inspect the immersive skeleton without requiring a separate sign-in flow. The app is intended to remain focused on review and visualization, while the iPhone or iPad companion remains the source for live capture.
Instead of relying only on text values or 2D overlays, users can explore an immersive scene that makes alignment, posture behavior, and movement relationships easier to follow. This can help support presentation, demonstration, teaching, session review, and research communication.
OrthoGaitViewer is designed for movement review, biomechanics, wellness, education, and research-oriented use. It requires the separate OrthoGaitApp companion app for live incoming data, does not require account sign-in, and the normal viewer workflow does not require image or video transmission.
Important: OrthoGaitViewer is intended for movement review, visualization, education, and research-oriented use. It is not intended to provide diagnosis or treatment decisions.
