ABOUT STOICUS

“Stoicus” means “Stoic” in latin. Stoics are people following the philosophical school of Stoicism.

Stoicus was developed by a Data Scientist to help him keep track of his Stoic progress, utilizing the power of data, statistics and machine learning.

The most important goal of life for Stoics, is to act consistently in accordance with reason and virtue. To acheive this goal, you have to resist passions such as anger, fear and pleasure.

Soticus helps you track your progress by the four Stoic virtues of Wisdom, Justice, Courage and Moderation, and by the different Stoic passions.

When you conduct the Stoic routine of Daily Reviews, the Logbook makes it easier to remember your day.

When you review your Logbook Entries, Stoicus calculates the mean intensity and effect of each passion you have experienced throughout the day.

The Insights help you keep track of your Stoic progress. This makes it easier to act consistently in accordance with reason and virtue, the most important goal of life for any Stoic.
