Tiyoweh
iPhone / Forme et santé
Tiyoweh is a Seneca-language word for the stillness or silence that we encounter internally when there is no chatter coming from the mind's thoughts. Tiyoweh is the word for the Native American spiritual discipline translated literally as 'entering the silence'. Tiyoweh is a spiritual discipline that can reduce stress, control anxiety, enhance self-awareness, lengthen attention spans, generate kindness & gratitude, help fight addiction & transform fear into peace. Any discipline, followed faithfully daily, can allow a person to enter a serene state of stillness, and practice is the key that opens the door to Tiyoweh. Aim for half an hour to one hour a day of practice.
