The Trigger Tool massage device must be purchased in order to use this App. Please go to “mytriggertool.com” to buy it. You can also purchase it within the App. This App is free to use with a purchase of the Trigger Tool.

The Trigger Tool was designed by Thomas Almodovar and is used in a similar way to ball therapy. Your body weight presses on the ball, which pushes on your muscles in tandem with uniquely designed body movements. The Trigger Tool is a big improvement on just using a ball, whereby it is easier to place the ball in an exact location where needed and it stays there.

The Trigger Tool is a hand held self administered deep tissue body massage appliance. The telescopic shaft allows the user to size the tool to a comfortable length and to hold the tool to guide it for proper placement, pinpointing areas of the body with the ball on the end. The body weight on the ball and with specific movement on a supporting surface (floor or wall) provides unique pressure on the user’s muscle. When firm pressure is applied by the ball of the tool over the trigger-point in conjunction with Thomas’ Trigger Tool Technique, which incorporates unique limb movements to deeply massage muscles, it can providing relief for the user. This procedure helps to relieve tender and painful muscle conditions and connective tissue conditions, including but not limited to trigger-points. The user dictates the amount of pressure on the ball and the exact location on the body where they want the pressure. Extending the poles to a desired length allows for the exact placement of the ball where pressure is needed on the body. The poles also helps to keep the ball in position placed so it does not roll off of the desired location during use.

Once the ball is in contact with the muscle, the user moves their body to manipulate the action on the muscle. The user is able to massage the muscle deeper and more efficiently than a therapist would be able to work, by controlling the amount pressure the ball is putting on the muscle, which can be used on a general area or a specific trigger-point. The duration of use is also determined by the user.

The user is able to use the weight of their body on the floor on against a wall, controlling the amount of pressure on the muscle so they can have a strong push on the ball into the body with little effort. Proper recommended procedures have been developed and are instructions are available online with the tool purchase.

The tool is used by an individual and can also be used by professionals on their clients such as Physical Therapist, Massage Therapist, Physicians, Chiropractors, Osteopaths or anyone who is a professional body worker. This invention is specifically designed for a deep systematic releasing massage on a particular region of the body which results in increased blood flow and stimulates of the superficial and deep muscles and a stretching of the tendons, ligaments and articulations. Trigger-point pressure can effectively inactivate trigger-points and provide prompt, symptomatic relief.

The Trigger Tool can be used for the regular maintenance of muscles. Daily use will help to prevent and relieve some muscle stress in the future.
