IKIGAI (ee-key-guy) - "A reason for being"

In the hustle and bustle of today's busy lifestyle, it is easy to lose track of the reason behind WHY we are doing the various activities or tasks we engage in . Stuck on autopilot, we can go from day to day without being conscious of what we are hoping to get from all this rushing about.

The much referenced Japanese concept of Ikigai suggests that embracing activities focused on "What I love; What I am good at; What I can get paid for; and What the world needs; can bring purpose and meaning to our daily lives. The philosophy of Ikigai embraces the belief that at the intersection of these 4 areas lies the pathway to finding YOUR IKIGAI.
