The first children’s stage play turned into a digital game!
*Try before you buy* You can play the first chapter for free as many times as you want. To follow Grandma Fedonia’s entire journey and unlock all available content and features, you can download a one-time in-app purchase from this lite version.
One day Grandma Fedonia decides to bake an apple pie for her beloved grandchildren only to realize that instead of apples, she only has yummy cherries. What now? She goes to look for apples. Join her journey and meet new friends – through the act of exchange you will help a lot of people. What do you think? Will you manage to find the apples? The story shows us that if we want something a lot, we can find ways to succeed through solidarity and helping each other.
The App is in English and Greek. It is entertaining whilst being educational. The child follows and participates to Grandma Fedonia’s journey looking for apples. It combines the elements of storytelling, puzzle games and platforms.
Grandma Fedonia meets new people that have some problems. For instance, she meets Bruno who has lost a present in the forest. The child helps Grandma F. to look for the lost present on the ground using a magnifying glass. When Grandma arrives in a meadow, she meets two siblings who have a question. Grandma F. with the help of the child will give them an answer.
The Game has been developed in a way that helps the child to concentrate to the story instead of just passing rounds in a meaningless way.
The narrator encourages the child to undertake activities in the physical world and take breaks from the app.
The game becomes the starting point for further discussion between the adult and the child for topics such as friendship, helping each other and kindness.
The titular show premiered in Athens, Greece in 2008. It has been loved by thousands and continues to spread its flavors and messages for 15 years. It is our pleasure that it is now a game, and we can share Grandma F’s story beyond the theatre around the world.
The game is based on the same values the play introduced to its audience.
