Tile Break is a polished, modern take on Mahjong solitaire — built from scratch in Swift for iPhone and iPad, hand-tuned to feel great on every device.
Tap two matching free tiles to remove them, build a combo for a multiplier, and clear the board before time runs the score down. No ads. No tracking. No required sign-in. Plays in airplane mode.
— ALWAYS SOLVABLE —
Every board is generated by simulating a full play-through first and then dealing the tiles in the resulting order. The random-shuffle deal that locks you out two minutes in? That's never happening here. Even mid-game shuffles re-roll into a solvable layout.
— TWO MODES —
Classic is the full 144-tile set across seven layouts: Garden, Pyramid, Turtle, Cross, Diamond, Tower, and Bricks — each tuned to read clearly on portrait phones and scale up to iPad portrait or landscape. Arcade is the shorter, friendlier game: sixteen layouts from 24 to 84 tiles on narrower grids, so tiles render much larger and a full clear fits in a coffee break. Each mode keeps its own scores, bests and layout choice.

Each theme ships with its own non-repetitive music engine running on AVAudio's sample-accurate scheduler. Ivory is plucky, Midnight is brooding, Cyber leans synthwave. Tap a theme and the music switches instantly. Respects your silent switch.
— SCORING THAT REWARDS SKILL —
Combo streaks multiply your score up to 5×. A misaimed tap or a hint breaks the streak. Fast clears post serious scores. Slow ones still post fine — but you'll see exactly what each hint, undo, and shuffle cost you on the end screen.
— GAME CENTER & ACHIEVEMENTS —
Six global leaderboards, split by mode so scores are always compared fairly: Classic has best single-game score, fastest clear and longest combo, and Arcade has its own score, time and layouts-cleared boards — scored so a 24-tile clear and an 84-tile clear rank on equal terms. Plus 19 achievements across speed, precision, combos, exploration, score and persistence, with a gallery showing what's still locked. Achievements are recorded on-device first and mirrored to Game Center, so the full experience works even if you never sign in. The end-of-game screen loads your personal record next to every stat, with the date you set it, and highlights a new best in gold. Send a real native challenge to a friend after a Classic win and they'll get an in-game banner with the score to beat.

The classic Mahjong tile faces are drawn procedurally in CoreGraphics so they're sharp at every tile size. The app icon is procedural too, generated by a Swift script. Swift 6 strict concurrency. ARCADE MODE — a new way to play, with bigger tiles.
• Sixteen layouts from 24 to 84 tiles — Pebble, Domino, Ladder, Torii, Chevron, Arch, Plus, Ring, Hourglass, Steps, Crown, Mosaic and more — on narrower grids, so every tile renders much larger and easier to read than Classic's 144. Great on a phone, great if you'd rather not squint.
• Pick Arcade from the home screen or Settings. Each mode remembers its own layout, and keeps its own scores and bests.
ACHIEVEMENTS — 19 of them, across speed, precision, combos, exploration, score and persistence. The new gallery shows what you've earned and what's still locked, with the date you unlocked it. Everything is tracked on-device first and mirrored to Game Center, so declining Game Center costs you nothing.
LEADERBOARDS — Classic keeps its three original boards. Arcade gets its own set, scored so that layouts of different sizes compare fairly: a 24-tile clear and an 84-tile clear are ranked on equal terms, rather than the smallest board always winning.
FIXED
• The game clock no longer counts time spent away from the game. Backgrounding a game and coming back later added the whole gap to your time — and quietly ate your speed bonus. Both fixed.
• "Challenge a friend" no longer posts an Arcade score to the Classic leaderboard.
• The game-over screen now shows when your previous best was set: "best 12,340 · Jun 3, 2026".
