Welcome to the Cosmic Energy Wave Mining training Simulator.

Since their discovery, Isolated Cosmic Energy Waves or ICEWs, have powered cities across colonized space. The ICEW industry has grown to a quad-trillion credit industry. At the front of this industry are the CEW Miners.

This app simulates the CEW Miners job in order to practice and train for ICEW mining work.

In this simulator, just like in the big space mining rigs, touch and hold on the Drone control screen to build up a full power blast. Release this blast in the center of a ICEW sphere to blast it open and reveal an ICEW. Remember, the first person shooter method of firing a power blast was found to be an ineffective way to strike a ICEW sphere, they are just too erratic.

The Simulator gives you the same over-watch view as in the big rigs, so you can pilot the Drone and target the sphere at the same time.

Pilot the Drone to touch and mine the uncovered ICEW.

When the Drone mines all of the ICEWs the Mining Ship will return to the minefield for the Drone to dock.

Pilot the Drone to dock with the Mining Ship and move to the next level practice mine field.

Some facts to keep in mind.

Isolated Cosmic Energy Waves wander randomly in minefields and each ICEW is protected by an outer ICEW sphere. This outer ICEW sphere discharges energy that weakens Drones.

No one knows how ICEWs came to be, or why they are found in certain contained areas of space, often in groups. Nor why they move in odd patterns or sometimes appear to fade in and out.

But early on, it was discovered that the ICEWs must be mined in a certain order, however, each minefield has its own unique order for mining, which can only be found through trial and error,

As part of this training simulator it should be noted that in addition to the ICEW sphere, space is full of obstacles that drain a Drone’s power.

For instance, the app simulates rouge space crystals along with swarms of space squid, all of which drain a Drone’s power level.

And when a Drone’s power level reaches zero, the Drone is defenseless against the hostile space environment and quickly explodes.

So it is important to get the ICEWs mined as quickly as possible and return the Drone to the Mining Ship. It is also expected that the Drone is piloted to stay within the minefield. The simulator will artificially keep the Drone within the minefield, but it will come at a cost of some power loss and directional control.

A word of caution, some of the ICEW spheres contain Dark Energy Waves. Blast open one of these by mistake and the Drone is lost and the mining effort is over.
