Loopster
macOS / Musique
Loopster plays back your audio files and lets you change playback speed independently of pitch - and vice versa - while preserving the best possible audio quality of the stretched and transposed result.
Plenty of apps do that. What sets Loopster apart is how you operate it.
While you practice or transcribe, you control Loopster with single keystrokes - instrument in your hands, one finger on the keyboard. No mouse, no scrolling sliders. Loopster was built by a working musician for the way musicians actually practice, and its clear, focused interface is what makes it stay out of your way.
You get the most out of Loopster when you use it as intended: keyboard-first. It is designed for practicing with an instrument in your hands and only a free finger to spare.
Features
• Change tempo without changing pitch - or pitch without changing tempo. Adjust both at once when you want to.
• Transpose songs up or down by up to 12 halftones [I] / [O].
• Fine-tune pitch in cents (1/100 halftone) to match your instrument.
• Set, store, and instantly recall up to 10 loops and locators per song with the number keys [1] … [0].
• Adjust any value - tempo, pitch, loop in, loop out - with the arrow keys.
• Every shortcut is printed on the button it triggers, so the keyboard layout is always in front of you.
• Organize songs into playlists - keep separate sets for different bands or projects.
• Loops, locators, songs, and playlists are saved automatically the moment you create them.
• Export your practice mix as MP3, AAC, or WAV to ~/Music/Loopster/.
