QuickNome – Menu Bar Metronome
QuickNome lives in your menu bar, always one click away. No windows to manage, no setup — just open it, set your tempo, and play.
Tempo Control
Set your BPM with the + and − buttons, drag the tempo display up or down, or use tap tempo to match any song in real time. Hold + or − to rapidly scroll through tempos. Shift-drag or shift-click to snap to the nearest 5 BPM. Arrow keys work too.
Menu Bar Capsule
A compact capsule in your menu bar shows your current tempo and play state at a glance. It pulses on every beat 1, inverts when playing, and shows a mute indicator when your volume is off — all without opening the panel.
Time Signatures
Switch between 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 beats per measure with a single tap. Beat dots animate in real time so you always know where you are in the bar.
Recents & Quick Launch
QuickNome remembers your last 5 tempos. Jump back to any of them instantly, or use CMD+1 through CMD+5 to switch tempos from anywhere. CMD+Option+1–5 sets the tempo and starts the metronome in one keystroke.
Volume & Mute
Adjust volume with the [ and ] keys or the volume slider. Press M to mute and unmute without losing your volume setting. If you try to play while muted, QuickNome lets you know.

All-New Panel Design
The menu is now a panel and has been completely redesigned from the ground up. Cleaner layout, better hierarchy, and a more focused experience — tempo front and center, everything else within easy reach.
Menu Bar Capsule
Your tempo and play state are now always visible in the menu bar — no need to open the panel. The capsule pulses on beat 1, inverts when playing, and shows a mute badge when your volume is off. Tap the badge directly to unmute without opening the panel.
Mute & Volume Controls
Volume is now front and centre in the main panel. Press M to mute and unmute while preserving your volume level. Use [ and ] to adjust volume from the keyboard. A mute badge appears on the play button and menu bar capsule when sound is off.

Faster Tempo Adjustment
Hold + or − to rapidly scroll through BPM values. Release to save. Shift+click snaps to the nearest 5 BPM.
