Lookup is an easy to use reference and learning app that helps you discover and learn a new english word everyday.
LookUp is a much loved app on the iOS App Store, and with macOS Catalina, the same experience comes to the Mac. The app has been completely redesigned to take advantage of macOS and lets users focus on learning English in a powerful way, by adding words to collections and discovering details like translations and definitions all in one screen.
Students can create their custom list for preparatory tests and take quizzes to make learning fun. It’s a great reading companion for students, learners of the English language, avid readers, and a visual learning tool for kids, or just about anyone looking to proactively build their vocabulary.

What can you do with LookUp?
Remember new words: Everyday, we carefully curate and design beautiful illustrations for the Word of the Day, making it easier and fun to learn new words!
Organize your favorite words with Collections: Collections are lists of words that let you organize what they look up. For students, collections are a great way to help them prepare for their reports or proficiency exams, they can save words in collections and access them with ease at any time.
Take Quizzes: You can test your vocabulary by taking quizzes based on the words you save in your Collections. Quizzes are a great way to remember words or to prepare for proficiency exams. Answer the questions correctly to win trophies!
Learn it all: LookUp a word’s meaning, picture, origin, synonyms, antonyms and a wikipedia entry in a single search.
Translations: You can translate the definitions from English to more than 15 different Languages including Chinese, German, Spanish, Greek and many more!

LookUp Requires internet connectivity to search for a word.
Translations are available from English to: Chinese, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Romanian, Greek, Tatar, Tok Pisin, Indonesian, Malay, Turkmen, Tajik, isiXhosa, isiZulu, Northern Sotho, Setswana, with support for more Languages such as Hindi coming soon!

Introducing LookUp 7.1
LookUp is now a universal purchase on Apple platforms, if you use LookUp on iOS you can now download the new app from the Mac App Store to start using it, if you only use LookUp on macOS, you can request a free copy after updating the app.
Please Note: Version 7.1 is the last major release for LookUp: 2019 Edition, we’ll support this app with bug fixes and performance improvements through the end of the year and then remove it from the App Store. If you don’t already have the iOS app, you can request for a free copy of the new app any time. Your data will also be carried over seamlessly when you switch to the new app.
New Features:
Export Collections: You can now export collections to a PDF file and share amongst your friends.
Sort Collections: You can now sort collections in any order you like, simply drag and drop a word to any position you want it to appear in, or just click the sort button from the Collection menu and pick from pre-defined sorting options.
Drag and Drop Support: You can now drag and drop words within the app to add them to different collections.
More Results: Search results now include phrases and more detailed definitions across the app.
Better Sync: We’ve completely revamped the sync and data storage inside the app to work better across all platforms and different extensions of the app.
