Albatross is an e-medical consultation platform that helps physicians working in under-resourced regions by facilitating the provision of specialist advise, securely, when and where it is needed.

Purpose :
Articles 3 and 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights respectively state:
•Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person,
•All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

The accessibility of quality healthcare is unequal across the globe, but specialists can help correct this imbalance. The challenge is to parachute the right experts to the right places at the right times in a sustainable manner. Albatross is a dedicated app for e-consults. It leverages on the excess capacity of medical experts in the developed world to help under-resourced regions. A key feature of this social enterprise is the flexibility of time, commitment and obligation afforded to the doctors who offer their specialist inputs. It is a doctor-to-doctor app that enables you to structure your consults with tools to upload anonymized documents, images and videos. Albatross is also built with up-to-date data security features; it does not mine, collect, share or utilize user or patient data, and has no commercial purpose.
