HallMonitor by HatchMed
HallMonitor turns the hallway outside every patient room into an active layer of clinical communication. It's a digital door sign built on purpose-designed, UL and FDA-listed hardware that displays real-time patient context - isolation precautions, fall risk, bed safety status, care team assignments, and active requests - all in one place, all without opening a chart.
LED corridor lighting driven by the EMR
HallMonitor is the only digital door sign with built-in LED illumination that responds to EMR rules in real time. When a patient's status changes, the LED color changes with it - visible from down the hall before a clinician reaches the door. No paper signs. No manual updates. No walking into an isolation room unprepared.
Bed data pulled live from the bed system
Bed exit alarms, brake status, safety position, lowest position - displayed on the door sign as it happens. Staff see bed safety issues before entering the room, not after.
Nurse call and care team integration
HallMonitor connects to your nurse call system to show assigned care team members and active patient requests with live timers. It's not just a display - it's the intersection of your nurse call, EMR, and care coordination workflows on a single screen.
Fully configurable for your facility
Tile colors, icons, layouts, and alert rules are all customizable per unit, per hospital, per health system. HallMonitor adapts to your clinical workflows instead of forcing you into a fixed template. Run it portrait or landscape. Brand it with your hospital identity.
On-device management with badge-in access
Nurses badge in directly on the device to add or remove tiles, update precautions, and manage alerts. Changes happen at the point of care in seconds - no need to open a separate system or submit a ticket.
Works with the systems you already have
HallMonitor integrates with Epic, nurse call systems (Rauland, Hill-Rom, ASCOM, and others), bed manufacturers, HVAC, and lighting controls. It consolidates information from multiple sources into one consistent view - regardless of which systems your facility runs.
Built for hospitals, not adapted from something else
HallMonitor runs on HatchMed's own medical-grade hardware with PoE+ power, ADA-compliant room numbering with Braille, and healthcare-certified enclosures designed for 24/7 hallway use. It's not a consumer tablet in a case.
