Low Contrast Sensitivity Test
iPad / Medecine
Low Contrast Sensitivity Test (LCST) is a fast and reliable assessment of the peak of the Contrast Sensitivity Function. It is a core component of the Physiological Profile Assessment.
The test stimulus consists of a single luminance profile in four different orientations: horizontal, vertical, 45° left, and 45° right. The participant observes the stimulus and indicates the orientation of the stimulus. When the participant fails to correctly indicate the orientation the test is completed and their score is recorded.
LCST has been developed by the Falls and Balance Research Group at Neuroscience Research Australia.
