NWSDevelopment Dynamic Outcomes:
For use in orthotic clinics to collect and analyze patient reported lower extremity outcome measures.
The outcome measures (ie survey responses) gathered in this app serve as a way/method of tracking a patient's improvement or acceptance of their carbon fiber ankle foot orthosis over time. It is built to collect responses to the exact same patient pain and functionality surveys at delivery of the device, the 60 day follow up appointment, and the one year follow up appointment. By collecting the patient responses in a uniform fashion, the process is made easier for the healthcare provider and there are fewer chances that a patient might not be contacted when it is time for a follow up. The scores received and their change over time will serve as a tool for practitioners to help ensure quality of care, while also providing a metric of improvement for the patient.
At the end of each survey the patient has the option to produce a pdf score report for their own documentation purposes. Additionally, all responses collected under a single practitioner's username and password can be downloaded in a more clinically significant/applicable way through the Patient Breakdown page. In this way the practitioner and the patient will both have access to the outcome measures collected in this app.
