Smart Rx Manager is part of the TraceLink solution for EU FMD compliance. It is only made available to current TraceLink customers.

Pharmacies, hospitals and dispensing doctors all across the EU need to comply with the EU Falsified Medicine Directive (EU FMD) beginning in February 2019. All prescription medicine packs will have new 2D bar codes that must be scanned before they can be dispensed.

Smart Rx Manager is the flexible and affordable solution from TraceLink, whose network already boasts over 280,000 connections to healthcare providers.

Smart Rx Manager connects directly to your NVMS and enables your scans to be immediately validated against the EU Hub. If a pack is determined to be invalid, you will know instantly - enabling you to provide fast, safe and efficient service to your customers and patients.

Smart Rx Manager uses your device's camera to scan the 2D bar codes that are required by FMD. Smart Rx Manager can also be paired with a wireless bluetooth scanner to provide maximum flexibility when verifying or decommissioning prescription drugs. Reporting screens allow you to review all your scan data to review status as well as have insight as to when medicines may expire.
