This App was developed to give blueberry growers a smartphone-accessible program to irrigate newly established to mature blueberry plantings. The irrigation calculations recommend irrigation rates based on evapotranspiration, precipitation, soil type, and drip irrigation system rate.
The App effectively replaces daily water loss by using local weather data from supported regional weather networks or by using the national weather data grid option, with the former, it can be used in any region of the contiguous U.S. The App can be programmed to provide irrigation recommendations for multiple zones within a planting based on in-field conditions and irrigation output.
The irrigation App updates continually and will remind users to adjust irrigation rates after each perceived rain event. The App has no charge associated with its use. When using the Blueberry Irrigation App, we recommend frequently monitoring your irrigation system to ensure optimal operation.
