The SHINE project of Delft University of Technology has developed the Social Weather app. In this research we focus on gathering, processing and interpreting data for answering information needs. For more information about the project, please visit shine.tudelft.nl.

With this app we try to collect a lot of information about the weather. To do this, we will ask you to select a weather category (e.g. clear sky). We will use this information to analyse how people categorize the weather. All the information collected will only be used for research purposes.

You can report weather in three categories: atmosphere, rain and flood. More weather categories will be added soon.

You can also see your submitted reports by clicking on 'your reports' in the menu.

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.

-it is now possible to upload images of the current situation. These images can either be chosen from the gallery or be taken with the camera.
-view the reports of other people, during the last hour or during the last 24 hours.
-added support for iOS 7.
