Srivaishnavas have the duties of studying the granthas authored by our ancestors, spreading them, and, following the principles laid out in them. Due to the advent of modern education, we have forgotten this wealth of knowledge which our ancestors have left for us. These granthas have the power of purifying our mind. They can also wash away our ignorance as well as worldly desires rooted in us for several births, just as a flood in a river uproots and washes away trees. Further, they can fill our mind with an ocean of knowledge and a stream of devotion which is akin to nectar. Even if we don’t learn all these granthas and spend all our full time with these, we need to study at least a few of them, and, learn their essence.
The AayarThevu app has been formed with a view to aid Srivaishnavas to attain this goal. Upanyasams of Thiruvellarai Melatthirumaaligai Ammaal Sri.U.Ve Vishnuchithan swami on some of the important granthas that Srivaishnavas need to learn will be available here. This is an app for Srivaishnavas who wish to hear them and for those who wish to know the details of Thiruvellarai utsavam or functions in Thiruvellarai Melatthirumaligai.
