Gig Songbook is the lyrics and setlist manager built for gigging musicians. Everything you need on stage — lyrics, chords, keys, BPM — organised, synced and ready even without an internet connection.

SONG LIBRARY
Build your complete repertoire with lyrics, chords, key, BPM and personal performance notes. Tag songs with genre labels (Rock, Jazz, Blues and more) for instant filtering. A collapsible filter panel lets you narrow songs by artist and label simultaneously — opens automatically on iPad. Search covers title, artist, labels and notes.

REHEARSE MODE
Tap Rehearse from the Songs list to jump straight into a full-screen practice session for your current filtered selection. Browse and switch songs from a searchable sidebar without ever leaving the view. Filter by artist or label; a Reset Filter button clears everything in one tap.

UNLIMITED SETLISTS
Create ordered setlists for every gig. Add a date and venue, drag to reorder, and tap Play Set to launch Performance mode instantly. Lock the setlist before you hit the stage to prevent accidental edits.

ICLOUD SYNC
Your songs and setlists sync automatically across all your iPhones and iPads via iCloud. Everything works offline — changes sync the moment you're back online.

PERFORMANCE MODE
Full-screen dark view built for the stage. Top controls and bottom navigation bar appear and disappear together — one tap shows both, four seconds later both hide. Tap the bottom corners to navigate songs, or the left zone to open the song picker (which shows your setlist name). On iPad the sidebar expands into collapsible Artist, Label and Song columns.

CHORD DIAGRAMS
An interactive chord diagram panel slides up during performance, showing every chord in the current song. Tap any chord to browse alternate voicings — open position, A-shape and E-shape barre chords. Rendered entirely on-device — no internet required.

APPEARANCE
Choose from a selection of monospace fonts (Menlo, Courier New, SF Mono, Monaco and more), adjust the size, and fine-tune line spacing to match how you read under stage lighting.

LIVE CHORD TRANSPOSITION
Transpose chords up or down on the fly during a performance without touching the original lyrics. Set a fixed transposition per song in each setlist — perfect when your band plays in different keys on different nights.

ONLINE SONG CATALOG
Tap the globe icon to search an online catalog by title or artist. Select as many results as you like — each entry shows the album and duration so you can tell versions apart — then import them all in one tap. Lyrics are included automatically when available.

IMPORT
Bring your existing songs into Gig Songbook in seconds. Import .md, .txt or .pdf files one by one, select multiple files at once, or point the app at a folder and let it process everything inside. Songs shared from Apple Notes arrive automatically via the Share Sheet. Import setlists and song libraries from a Gig Songbook backup file.

EXPORT & BACKUP
Export your full song library or individual setlists as JSON files. Share via AirDrop, save to Files, or send by email. Setlist exports include all referenced songs — the recipient gets a complete, self-contained file.

PRIVACY
No account. No sign-in. No ads. No tracking. All your data lives on your device and in your private iCloud container — never on our servers.
