Gig Songbook is the lyrics and setlist manager built for gigging musicians. Everything you need on stage — lyrics, chords, keys, BPM — organised and ready even without an internet connection.

SONG LIBRARY
Build your repertoire with lyrics, chords, key, BPM and performance notes. Tag songs with labels for instant filtering. A collapsible filter panel lets you narrow by multiple artists and labels at once — filter state persists between Songs and Rehearse mode.

SONG EDITOR
Tap any field to expand Lyrics, Chords or Notes — each auto-grows and scrolls for longer content. Fields with existing text open pre-expanded.

SONG IMAGES
Attach a full score, chord chart, lyric sheet or any visual reference to a song. Import from Photos or Files, drag to reorder. In Performance and Rehearse mode, images replace the text view with swipeable full-screen pages.

REHEARSE MODE
Jump into a full-screen practice session. Browse and switch songs from a searchable sidebar without leaving the view. Select multiple artist and label filters simultaneously — each appears as a dismissible chip. Clear all filters at once with Reset Filter.

AUDIO TRACKS
Attach a reference recording or backing track to any song. Import from Files, iCloud Drive or your Music Library (non-DRM). Seekable progress bar with elapsed and remaining time. Syncs to iCloud automatically.

LYRICS SYNC
Sync lyrics to your audio so the active line highlights and scrolls automatically. Auto Sync uses Shazam to fetch timed lyrics in seconds. Manual Tap Sync lets you set each line by tapping along with the audio — perfect for originals. Tap the waveform icon in performance to follow along hands-free.

SECTION HEADERS
Mark song structure with [Chorus] or [Verse 1] — they render in a distinct colour during performance and are skipped by the sync editor so only sung lines need timestamps.

SETLISTS
Create ordered setlists for every gig. Add date and venue, drag to reorder, tap Play Set to launch Performance mode. Lock the setlist before showtime to prevent accidental edits.

ICLOUD SYNC
Songs and setlists sync automatically across all your iPhones and iPads via iCloud. Everything works offline — changes sync the moment you're back online.

PERFORMANCE MODE
Full-screen dark view built for the stage. Tap corners to navigate songs, left zone for the song picker — controls auto-hide after 4 seconds. iPad sidebar expands into collapsible Artist, Label and Song columns.

CHORD DIAGRAMS
An interactive chord panel slides up during performance showing every chord in the current song. Tap any chord to browse alternate voicings — open position, A-shape and E-shape barre chords. Rendered on-device — no internet required.

APPEARANCE
Choose from a selection of monospace fonts, adjust font size, and fine-tune line spacing for easy reading under stage lighting.

LIVE CHORD TRANSPOSITION
Transpose chords up or down live during performance without touching the original lyrics. Set a fixed transposition per song in each setlist.

ONLINE SONG CATALOG
Search an online catalog by title or artist. Select multiple results — each showing album and duration to tell versions apart — and import them all at once. Lyrics included when available.

IMPORT
Import .md, .txt or .pdf files in bulk. Import audio files as songs — metadata is read automatically; Shazam fills in missing tags and fetches timed lyrics. Songs from Apple Notes arrive via the Share Sheet. Import setlists and libraries from a backup.

EXPORT & BACKUP
Export your full song library or individual setlists as JSON. Share via AirDrop, save to Files, or send by email. Setlist exports embed all songs — fully self-contained.

PRIVACY
No account. No sign-in. No ads. No tracking. All your data lives on your device and in your private iCloud container — never on our servers.

• Import from Music Library — pick tracks from your iPhone Music Library and attach them as audio references to any song; non-DRM tracks are exported automatically.
• Auto-expanding editor fields — Lyrics, Chords, and Notes text areas in the song editor start collapsed; tap to expand. Lyrics scroll within a 400 pt area; Chords and Notes within 200 pt. Fields with existing content open pre-expanded.
• Persistent filter panel — the Songs tab filter panel remembers its open/closed state across navigation and app restarts; defaults to closed.
• Song images — attach a full score, chord chart, lyric sheet or any visual reference to a song; import from Photos or Files, drag to reorder; images replace the text view in Performance and Rehearse mode with swipeable full-screen pages.
• Keyboard Done button — a prominent Done button now appears in the keyboard accessory bar when editing any text field in the song editor (Lyrics, Chords, Notes), including when creating a new song.
• Audio import progress — the "Resolve Artist, Song & Lyrics" button in the Import Audio screen now shows a live progress bar and counter ("Resolving 2 of 5…") so you can see exactly how far along the Shazam resolution is.
• Automatic file cleanup — unused audio and image files are silently removed on launch; no more "Unused Audio Files" prompt cluttering your workflow.
• Cancel Shazam resolve — while the Import Audio screen is resolving artist, song and lyrics, a Cancel button lets you stop the process at any point; results already resolved are kept.
• Export progress & destination picker — Export All Songs now shows a progress bar counting each song as it is processed, with a Cancel button; when complete a full Files browser opens so you can choose exactly where to save the file instead of navigating the share sheet.
