GrainHeads is a granular synthesizer designed for sound designers, musicians, and experimental producers who want deep control over their textures.

Load your own material into four sample slots and create multiple independent playheads, each able to choose which sample to play from. This opens up rich, multi-source textures—blend, switch, or modulate between sources for constantly evolving sound design.

Each playhead has its own set of parameters, including a fully modulatable filter, and now features a drawable grain envelope. Shape each grain using splinter or Bézier curves, giving you precise control over transient character and spectral detail.

Shape motion and complexity using a powerful modulation matrix where virtually every parameter can be modulated - including sample slot selection, enabling dynamic switching or scanning via LFOs and other modulation sources. LFOs can even modulate other LFOs for deeply nested movement.

Performance is built into the core of GrainHeads. Use the 4-finger 2D touch pad to control up to 8 assignable parameters simultaneously, making expressive real-time manipulation easy.

A flexible effects section with re-routable signal flow lets you further sculpt your sound and create evolving granular landscapes.
