Optio Fuel is a new, easy-to-install, wireless or DC powered Bluetooth fuel flow sensor for boats, tractors and other vehicles.
Using the Interactio Smart Boat app combined with our Optio Fuel sensor see can a display of your boat's current fuel flow and also calculate your optimal cruising range based on current fuel consumption and how much fuel is available (based on your boat's fuel tank capacity).
Using your iOS device, the super simple user interface tells you:
Your current, live fuel use - accurate to one tenth of a US gallon per hour
Your current cruising range, shown on a Map as a blue circle
Your optimal range, what we call "EcoRange" shown as a green circle with an EcoRange Leaf symbol beside it

Common questions:
Can I use this with twin gasoline engines?
Yes, the app automatically detects dual sensors and updates the display to show both and combines consumption and range. In fact, the App has no limit to the number of concurrent sensors so accommodating twin engines and a GenSet or even furnace, compressor, etc. is no problem.
Will Optio Fuel work with diesel engines or engines that require a fuel return line?
Yes, when pairing a sensor you have the option to designate it as a return line.
What size engines will this work with?
We rate the sensor by flow and it will support flows between 1 to 40 gph which covers engines of approximately 25-350HP.
I already have fuel flow sensors on my boat, why do I need Optio Fuel?
The most powerful feature of Optio Fuel is the Optio part - the optimized range circle. Even if you already have fuel flow as part of your engine management or Multi-Function Display (MFD) the fuel flow is just a number. It doesn't give any indication of your optimal cruising range unless you calculate it manually, and even then it is static. That means that it was optimal at the time you calculated it but that was with specific boat loading, weather, tides, etc. at that time but it doesn't update so it is still not very accurate. Optio Fuel continually recalculates and is always accurate, no matter what boat loading, tides & currents or even other factors like increased bottom growth.
Why would I use Optio Fuel instead of upgrading my combination head unit to add fuel flow?
Well, we're biased but for the same reasons as above but for a lot less money! We provide more capability foe a lot less money using something many of us already have in our pockets - a smartphone.
Will Optio Fuel be certified with CSA, ABYC, US Coast Guard or others?
Yes, Optio Fuel will be compliant with CSA (Canadian Standards Association) and ABYC/US Coast Guard regulations. We will also comply with whatever governing bodies are required in other markets.
