With version 2, you also get access to the worlds best geologic maps which can be downloaded and used while in the field. These maps get you detailed information about the composition and geologic history of the land around you.

Geologic maps come at different levels::
- Level 0: A geologic map of the whole world
- Level 1: Geologic maps for each of the continents
- Level 2: Geologic maps for countries or regions (North America to start with)
- Level 3: Geologic maps for states or provinces (USA to start with)

Each level contains increasingly detailed information about the geologic map units of the land.
