Victorian Emergency Markers

When you need to find someone at an emergency marker, you need to find them fast. This app will help emergency service workers find markers quickly and without fuss.

Emergency Markers are dotted throughout Victoria. They help the emergency services find you in places that don't have a fixed address, like parks and open spaces. The Victorian Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority (ESTA) maintains a database of all the markers in Victoria. This app is that database, acquired through data.gov.au.

Includes:
* Complete database of ESTA Emergency Markers in Victoria
* Latitude/Longitude of the markers on a map
* Nearest crossroads, names of the parks and locations.
* Detailed instructions for getting through gates, phone numbers to call, locations of locked gates, etc.
* Export from the app: share by email, SMS, etc

PLEASE NOTE: This app is not designed to help emergency services find you! This app is for rescuers in search of people at markers. This app will help its user get to an emergency marker.

It's been a little while since our last update! Here's what's changed:

• We've been in touch with people from ESTA. They like the app! We've got an handshake agreement to keep the app up-to-date with their latest data.

• This update includes all the latest data! ESTA have been laying out new emergency markers throughout Victoria, and we have them here in our app!

• The latest data includes several corrections and clarifications for points which were inaccurate or have been changed.

In addition to the data updates, the app also has a few tiny fixes internally. We've made the app more up-to-date with the latest iOS, but we still support older phones back to iOS 11. We hope you like it! If there's any feedback at all, please feel free to get in touch
