Acetate bridges the gap between pure RAW capture and the soul of analog film. Built for photographers who understand that an image is made, not taken — every adjustment runs on-device, no cloud, no account, no tracking.

PURE RAW CAPTURE
Shoot in Apple ProRAW (DNG) on every supported iPhone. Acetate bypasses standard processing and writes the sensor's uncompressed data straight to your library, preserving every stop of dynamic range for post.

PRO SHOOTING MODES
Full manual or assisted: Auto, Program (P), Shutter Priority (S), ISO Priority, Manual (M), Night Mode, and Long Exposure up to 30 seconds. Swap ultra-wide, wide, and telephoto with a tap. Self-timer (3s / 10s) and burst mode — hold the hardware shutter for rapid-fire frames — both included.

CINEMATIC FILM LOOKS
Eighteen curated 3D LUTs in two families. Eight physics-based film emulations covering the eras most photographers chase — '70s Warm, '80s Neon, '90s Cinema, Golden, Mono, Faded, Moody, Cross. Ten art-directed looks for everything else — Dusk, Cinematic, Pastel, Vivid Punch, Faded, Teal & Orange, Bleach Bypass, Moody Night, Golden Hour, High Key. Press and hold to preview live before you commit.

OPEN LUT
Tap any filter and the editor sliders physically move to reflect the look — see exactly what each filter is doing and tweak from there. A small tick mark on every slider shows the filter's value; reset snaps back, long-press clears to zero. Works for built-in films, Artistic Looks, and your own imported .cube LUTs.

BAKE YOUR OWN LUTs
Save any edit you make as a portable .cube LUT and apply it to other photos with one tap — or load it in the camera and shoot in your own signature look. Import any .cube file from Files, iCloud, AirDrop, or third-party providers. Export to share with Lightroom, Premiere, DaVinci. Favourite the ones you use most and they pin to the front of the strip.

Smart tools that run entirely on your iPhone using Apple's Vision framework and on-device Core ML:
• Smart LUT — tap Generate and Acetate's on-device AI writes a per-photo recipe tuned to your scene (Portrait, Landscape, Food, Night, Golden Hour, Architecture, Nature). Regenerate for a fresh take. Save as a reusable filter.
• Scene detection optimises your photos automatically
• Auto-straighten finds the horizon for you
• Object Removal erases unwanted elements with a tap (A15 / M1 or newer)

PRO EXPOSURE TOOLS
Live RGB and luminance histograms, highlight and shadow zebras, false-colour exposure map, customisable focus peaking, dual-axis level indicator with haptic confirmation.

TACTILE INTERFACE
Haptic feedback for the shutter, dials, and level lock. Live readouts of ISO, shutter speed, and exposure compensation are always on. Composition grids, before-and-after compare, deep undo and redo.

PRIVACY FOCUSED
Your photos are yours. No account, no cloud, no analytics. Location is used strictly for EXIF geotagging on photos you take, and never leaves your device. The entire app — capture, edit, AI, save — works offline.
