M-Kamera simulates the physics of a 35mm film rangefinder. Not a filter. Not a preset. Not a portrait mode. Full simulation from lens to individual film grains.
And full shooting experience: set exposure, wind on, compose, focus, shoot. Finish the roll and develop to see the results: that classical 50mm lens look, lush grain and film color science. Enabled by LIDAR of iPhone Pro and passion to analogue photography. Made in Germany by a Rocket scientist - how much cooler it can be?!

THE RANGEFINDER EXPERIENCE

Wind the film. Set aperture and shutter speed. Compose and focus through a true coincidence rangefinder - the first on any mobile device, made possible by iPhone Pro's LiDAR.
Full manual or auto if in a hurry and care for the look only. Prefer scale focus? That works too, just like on a real rangefinder.

EMBRACE THE LIMITS

Film has fixed ISO, and aperture only opens/closes that far. It's not possible to get that Bokeh in the Sun, because Sunny f16 does not let you. Shoot wide open at 1/8s and your hands will shake - because they should. Realistic haptic and acoustic feedback make every frame deliberate. Analogue photography is limiting and that's one of the reasons we love it. M-Kamera is designed to give you the same experience and simulate limits imposed by a mechanical classical rangefinder. Limited by design, unlimited by you!

SHOOT LIKE IT COSTS SOMETHING

Waiting for the negatives to develop is part of what makes analogue photography special. Expose correctly and the result is beautiful. Expose wrong and it shows. Your frames are revealed at the light table when the roll is done, not when you decide to chimp. A roll is 36 frames at most, make each count as if it costs real money!

PHYSICS UNDER THE HOOD

- Physically accurate 50mm full-frame bokeh with cat's-eye aperture blades and vignetting. Bokeh is defined by physics, and aperture and distance to the subject you select.
- Physical grain simulation: individual crystals, not a texture overlay. Realistic glow and halation simulation. Best grain in town, basically
- Exposure-dependent tone mapping for color and B&W. Overexposed and underexposed frames get their distinct looks.
- B&W color filters (yellow for portraits, red for skies, use creatively!)

ON YOUR IPHONE. NOWHERE ELSE.

Everything runs on-device using Metal and CoreML. No cloud uploads. Your film stays in your camera.
With optional convenience of iCloud backups when you need them.

Requires iPhone Pro (LiDAR required for rangefinder focusing).
