NDI Monitor TV
Apple TV / Photo et vidéo
From Sienna, the world's leading developer of professional NDI Infrastructure, NDI Monitor TV allows your Apple TV HD or 4K to watch professional NDI IP Video streams from your local network.
Note that NDI Monitor TV plays full NDI Streams and NDI HX2 streams (H.264 and HEVC), but does not support the older NDI HX1 format.
Controls in the Apple TV Settings App allow you to select from the Hi Res and Proxy NDI Streams, as well as entering NDI Access and NDI Discovery Server information. For multi device workflows you can name your device. You can also enable an optimise interlace option for smoother display of interlaced streams.
A web interface on port 8088 provides external remote control of selected source.
A Flip Video mode provides image reversal for use with reflective AutoCues
NB. Apple TV 4K has a gigabit ethernet connection which is the recommended method for connecting to your NDI Streams. In contrast Apple TV HD only has a 100 mBit ethernet port, which may not be fast enough for some very complex HD NDI Streams which can exceed 100mBits. If your WIFI network is extremely fast and reliable, you may be able to get more than 100mBits via WIFI on Apple TV HD, but note that many average WIFI installations may not provide this level of clear performance. If your network connection is not fast enough to view very complex NDI streams you can turn off the HiRes option in the settings app and view the NDI proxy stream instead.
Apple TV 4K provides really low latency playback of NDI Streams up to UHDp30. Ensure the AppleTV video display setting is the same or higher than the NDI frame rate.
For best results always use an NDI Discovery Server.
